Black checker plates fade over time due to constant exposure to UV sunlight, heat, road grime, and harsh weather conditions. The aluminium surface and painted finish break down under UV rays, causing oxidation and loss of colour. Regular washing with abrasive products, dust buildup during travel, and exposure to red dirt and salt further accelerate fading, leaving checker plates dull, grey, and lifeless.
Over time, we kept seeing the same issue again and again — faded black checker plates that couldn’t be polished or properly restored.
Most products on the market:
- Leave a greasy or oily residue
- Attract dust and dirt during travel
- Look good briefly, then fade again
None of them delivered a clean, long-lasting result.
