What does Liquid Shine do?

Liquid Shine instantly restores and protects faded black checker plates and plastics.


DIY-easy to use — just wash, apply with a microfiber cloth, and wipe off to reveal a dry, shiny finish in minutes.


It also works on black hatch doors, awning arms, black rubber seals, and 4WD black exterior plastics.

How long does the shine last?

Most caravan owners see results lasting up to 3 months, depending on sun exposure, storage, and washing habits. 

 

On harsher red-dirt roads like Cape York or Western Australia, expect closer to 1-2 months. 

 

Once the shine starts to fade, simply reapply.

How big are the bottles?

Each Liquid Shine bottle is 500ml.

 

This size provides multiple applications — ideal for regular maintenance across several months.

How much product is needed?

A 15–20 ft caravan uses less than half a 500ml bottle per application.


Each application lasts up to 3 months, so one bottle provides around 6 months of shine.


Two bottles offer the best long-term option and comfortably cover a full year.

How to apply Liquid Shine?

Liquid Shine is a wipe-on, wipe-off product — 3 easy DIY steps:

 

Step 1 — Wash your caravan panels using the Weekend Wash pH-Neutral Soap and dry the surface.

 

Step 2 —  Apply Liquid Shine to a microfibre cloth and evenly spread it over one section at a time.

 

Step 3 — Immediately buff the area with a clean microfibre cloth to reveal a dry, glossy finish.

What surfaces does it work on?

Liquid Shine is designed for:
• Black painted checker plate
• Black hatch doors
• Awning arms
• Black rubber seals
• 4WD exterior plastics


(Not recommended for fibreglass, composite panels, raw aluminium, clear perspex windows or ceramic-coated surfaces)

Do I need to polish?

No. Liquid Shine is a wipe-on, wipe-off product. No machines, no heavy rubbing — easy DIY.

Will it feel oily or sticky?

Not at all. When applied correctly, Liquid Shine leaves a dry, non-sticky finish that doesn’t attract dust.

Can it be applied in direct sunlight?

Avoid direct sunlight.

 

Apply Liquid Shine in the shade or undercover for the best spread and cleanest finish.


If applying outdoors, choose early morning or late afternoon when the panels are cool.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays).

 

Shipping is handled by Australia Post, with delivery typically taking 3–5 business days, and slightly longer for regional or remote areas.

 

A tracking number is provided as soon as your order is dispatched.

Can an order be cancelled?

Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been posted.


If an incorrect address was provided, resending the parcel will incur additional postage fees.

 

For lost or damaged parcels, customers must lodge a claim with Australia Post using the tracking number.

How does the 30-day guarantee work?

Liquid Shine is backed by a strict 30-day money-back guarantee, provided the product has been used correctly and does not restore the shine of your black checker plate.

 

To submit a claim, you must send clear before and after photos showing the results to: support@liquidshine.com.au

 

If the claim is approved, the unused portion of the product must be returned at your cost before any refund is issued.


Refunds are only processed once the product has been received and inspected.

Safety & Storage

Is Liquid Shine safe to use?

Yes, when used as directed and all safety precautions are followed. Use Liquid Shine in a well-ventilated area, avoid breathing vapours or spray, and wear protective gloves.

 

Liquid Shine is flammable. Used cloths and sponges may self-ignite if handled incorrectly, so always follow the cloth-safety instructions below.

How wash microfiber cloths after use?

Liquid Shine is a flammable product, and cloths contaminated with it can self-heat and catch fire on their own — even after you've finished using them — if they're bunched up and left to sit. This is a real risk, not a formality, so please follow these steps every time:

  • After use, wash cloths immediately in warm, soapy water to remove residual product, or soak them fully in water in a metal container.
  • Never leave a used cloth screwed up in a ball, in a laundry hamper, in a bin, or on a bench — lay it flat to dry outdoors, or store it fully submerged in water.
  • Store used cloths (before washing/disposal) in a metal container with a tight-fitting, self-closing lid — never in a plastic bag or cardboard box.
  • Where possible, use synthetic microfibre cloths rather than cotton or other natural-fibre cloths — natural fibres are more prone to spontaneous combustion.
  • Once washed and dried flat, cloths can be laundered normally or disposed of in general waste.

Is Liquid Shine flammable?

Liquid Shine is classified as a flammable liquid (Category 3) and carries the signal word DANGER. Keep it away from heat, sparks, open flames, hot surfaces and other ignition sources — do not smoke while using it. Vapours can accumulate in low-lying or enclosed areas, so use it in a well-ventilated space.

Importantly, the flammability risk doesn't end when you put the bottle down: cloths and rags contaminated with Liquid Shine can self-ignite if left bunched up after use. See "How do I safely dispose of the cloths after use?" below.

We recommend wearing chemical-resistant gloves and, if you're sensitive to vapours or working in a confined space, safety glasses and adequate ventilation.

How should Liquid Shine be stored?

Store the bottle upright, tightly closed, in a cool, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, heat sources and other chemicals (especially oxidising agents). Keep it in its original container. Use within 6 months of opening.

Any cloths used to apply the product should be washed or soaked in water immediately after use and stored in a fireproof metal container with a self-closing lid until they can be laundered or disposed of — never leave them balled up.

Is Liquid Shine safe around children?

No. Keep Liquid Shine locked away and out of reach of children at all times. It must not be swallowed or handled by children.

FIrst Aid - What should I do if exposed?

  • Skin contact: Rinse with water.
  • Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, removing contact lenses if present, for at least 10 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
  • Inhalation: Move to fresh air and keep at rest. Seek medical attention if symptoms (headache, nausea, dizziness) occur or persist.
  • If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting — this product can be fatal if it enters the lungs. Rinse the mouth with water, do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person, and get medical attention immediately.
  • Call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 (Australia) in any case of accidental ingestion or exposure you're unsure about, and have the product on hand to show first responders.
  • Call Triple Zero (000) in a medical emergency.
