1. proper use

Liquid Shine must be used strictly in accordance with the instructions provided on our website, product packaging, and any supporting materials.

 

Liquid Shine is designed for use on:

  • Black painted checker plate
  • Black hatch doors
  • Awning arms
  • Black rubber seals
  • 4WD exterior black plastics

Liquid Shine is not recommended for:

  • Fibreglass
  • Composite panels
  • Raw aluminium
  • Clear Perspex windows

Use of the product on non-recommended surfaces is done at the user’s own risk and voids any applicable guarantees.

2. safety warnings

  • Liquid Shine is a flammable product. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and ignition sources.
  • Store the product out of direct sunlight, away from other chemicals, and in a cool, room-temperature environment.
  • Once opened, the product should be used within 6 months.
  • Keep out of reach of children at all times. Liquid Shine is not a toy and must not be ingested or handled by children.
  • Applicator cloths saturated with Liquid Shine must be rinsed or soaked in water immediately after use. See "Applicator Cloth Safety" below.

3. applicator cloth safety

Cloths used to apply or buff Liquid Shine become saturated with oils and residue. Bunched-up or piled oily cloths can generate their own heat through a chemical reaction with the air (oxidation) and, in rare cases, ignite without any external flame or spark. This is a well-documented risk with any oil-based cleaning or restoration product, not unique to Liquid Shine, but it is serious and must be managed correctly.

To use applicator cloths safely:

  • Rinse or soak used cloths in water immediately after use — never leave them dry, bunched, or piled up.
  • Do not place used cloths in an enclosed bin, cupboard, or vehicle interior.
  • Lay cloths flat and spaced apart outdoors, away from anything flammable, to dry — or launder them straight away.
  • Wash used cloths separately from other laundry, in cold water, and do not tumble dry until you are certain all product residue has been fully removed.
  • Never store used cloths in a pile "for later" — treat them the same way you would oily rags from a workshop.

4. first aid

  • If the product comes into contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with clean water.
  • If irritation persists, or if the product is swallowed, seek medical advice or contact emergency services immediately.

5. limitation of liability

Liquid Shine is supplied for consumer use only. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caravan Shine Pty Ltd ATF the Mundo Family Trust (ABN 19 950 971 765) is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or claim arising from misuse, incorrect application, use on non-recommended surfaces, or improper handling of applicator cloths. Results vary by surface condition, preparation, and application method.
